My Background

Local Experience And Commitment To Excellence

After earning my DVM from St. George's University and practicing mixed animal medicine across the Southeast, I returned to Jacksonville to do what I love most: supporting the veterinary community I grew up in. I founded River City Veterinary Relief Services to give practice owners what they rarely get—reliable coverage from someone who genuinely cares about their practice's success.

I bring comprehensive experience across small animals, large animals, and exotic species, with surgical capabilities and specialized interest in internal medicine, neurology, emergency critical care, and livestock/food animal medicine. But what matters most isn't just what I can do—it's how I approach your practice: with respect, professionalism, and genuine partnership.

Penny: My Adventure Companion

I adopted Penny from Grenada during vet school in 2019. She's been my constant companion through my journey from student to practicing veterinarian, and reminds me every day why I love working with animals.

Theatre Jacksonville: My Creative Outlet

When I'm not providing relief coverage, you'll find me on stage with Theatre Jacksonville. I've most recently performed in "Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors," "A Doll's House," and "Women of Lockerbie," and love being part of the local theater community.

Dewey & Sandy Cheeks: The Kitten Duo

These two mischievous kittens were surrendered to the clinic in 2024, and I couldn't resist bringing them home. Dewey and Sandy Cheeks keep me on my toes and remind me daily why I love multi-species medicine. Next up? Backyard chickens, and one day, goats!
